I'm not dead; Insearchtion; I did a fandom thing!

So. Um. If you've talked to me at all in the last couple of months, you'll know I don't have internet at home. Which is sad. Sad and depressing. Twitter is my only outlet to the fandom world. It's sad.

But I'm not dead! I'm not! I swear! So, a few things.

First off, a blanket apology to my Insearchtion team. I know it was a game sort of thing and we all sort of fell off, but everyone managed to pick themselves up but me and I'm sorry. ORZ

On a lighter note, I did a podfic thing. Like, for real! I'm shocked at myself. It's hard for me to do any sort of recording thing because my laptop doesn't have a mic and I can't afford one, so I recorded the file to my Soundcloud. And I think I did okay! I made like two mistakes for a five-minute fic, which I was told was pretty darn good, and I want some more fandom opinions on it. I wanna give a BIIIIIG thank you and hug to [personal profile] aphelant for her encouragement and tips on podficcing communities and such. :3

So without further ado, here is my lil' podfic of On His Velvet Feet, by saucery here, at my Soundcloud.

(Alternately, if anyone knows if she's on LJ or DW, could you point me to her journal of residence, that I may ask if it's even okay for me to have podficced this?>

Because I'm beginning to become interested in meta about stuff~

- There's a meta discussion on sexism in "A Scandal in Belgravia" here courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] knowmydark

- Irene and Sherlock meta here on Tumblr

and if anyone wants to point me towards more meta, feel free. I need to know more about it, especially since I have to collaborate a meta for Insearchtion by the weekend.

Speaking of Insearchtion! I'm excited to actually do something as a part of fandom. Normally, I'm just a general lurker/squee-er/encourager of writers/commenter, so I'm happy to actually be doing something. Even with my limited internet capacities and absolute fail at working the email on my iPhone (WUT), I still feel like a little bit of a hindrance to my team, but the point is we all have fun, right? RIGHT?!

I'VE BEEN SHERLOCKED.

"A Scandal in Belgravia". Just. HNNNGH.

There was a Tumblr post that said this episode wasn't really called "A Scandal in Belgravia", but "Show all my kinks in one episode" and I CONCUR. HOLY SHIT. I want to watch that episode forever and ever and ever, amen.

Happy New Year's Eve/New Year's!

Happy New Year's Eve/New Year's Day to all my friends and fandom people and EVERYONE ALL OVER THE INTERNETS! \o/

It's still not 2012 for me yet (four more hours!) and I'm at my best friend's house making browines and preparing to watch Inception and The Fifth Element and BBC Sherlock and all of the awesome things. :D

Do you have any resolutions/things you wanna do better next year? I never make resolutions because I never keep them, but I'm starting the new year by emptying all of my email inboxes, which is REALLY hard for me to do normally. And possibly deleting email accounts I don't use anymore. XD

O hai.

So, since LJ is going downhill in a bad way, everyone's coming over here now. Hello everyone! *waves*

I don't know exactly what's going on with the LJ shenanigans, but I know that removal of comment titles seemed to be the last straw or something? This is what I get for not having internet at home (OH THE HUMANITY~) and now I must settle for making Dreamwidth a bookmark on my phone until someone makes an app for it.

So, um. How is everyone? I can't believe Christmas is so close and there's no snow on the ground. For me, anyway. And I'm on winter break for the next two weeks, WOOHOO~ Hopefully this will give me time to catch up on all internet related things and such.

Expect a longer entry later; I don't have a lot of time on this computer. :/ Later~

"Nothing is true; everything is permitted."

There are a lot of similarities between the Animus in Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Inception's Limbo. That's all I'm saying.

I'm watching Pierre play now. We've had the game since it came out and neither one of us has had any time to play. :(

Post.

 I'm worn out.

I think, since I started school, and not counting my vacation week, I've only had one day to flop around and do nothing. The rest of my time is spent working or schooling. Or walking to, from, and around any of these places. I'm just BEAT.

On the plus side, reading all the awesome stuff about podficcing during [community profile] pod_aware made me want to try my hand at one (again), and annejumps (I don't know her LJ or DW D:) has given me permission to podfic "Sweeter Than Honey". I also discovered today that my laptop is old enough to not have a built-in microphone, so as soon as I can find one of those, I'll get around to that.

I need more icons. D:

Um. Hi.

I swear, I'll get around to doing ALL OF THE THINGS one day.

But basically, this is my fandom journal/journal for all things flaily and awesome.

I can also be found as glowdrops at LJ, Twitter, Tumblr, and all standard retailers.

More thorough bio thingy coming soon. Ish.
